People get shot over gun control dispute

Some called it a misunderstanding.  Others referred to this tragedy as an accident.  And still others are concerned with how bullets managed to get lodged in the two men’s heads.  Guns are the answer to this.  Guns produce bullets at an astonishing rate of speed to render the thing being shot, dead.

That may sound simplistic, or overstated, in any event, these two gun wielding, flag waving men find themselves both dead after a long standoff and debate.  Actually, the coroners found them dead.  The two had bumped into each other on the corner of Wall and Street St.  Both of their weapons flew out of their holsters and they scrambled for them.  Soon, guns were pointed at each of them.  After a few seconds, they turned the guns on each other understanding they weren’t a threat to themselves.

One of the men found dead wore a classic shirt that read, “Guns Don’t Kill People, People Kill People,” while the other was a Target employee on his way to work.  Before the sounds of gunfire went off, they attempted to come to a peace.  The Target employee had no intention of killing anyone according to a frightened bystander, but the other man was insistent on ending this as bloody as possible.

The Target employee hated guns, and wanted to see an end to them.  People who knew him say he carried one for lunatics just like the one that ended his life.  Friends of the other man knew his one pet peeve were those who wanted to ban the use of firearms.  After this was revealed to him on the street, he fired without hesitation. The noise startled the Target employee and he fired as well.

In a situation like this, who’s to blame?  It’s quite obvious really.  The Target employee by no means should have been carrying a weapon.  The initial bump would have thrown the other man’s gun down, and he would have peacefully retrieved it and went on his merry way.  Perhaps the contact would have angered him enough to kill a small animal, or to shoot a tree.  But by no means would he have been threatened enough to fire away at the Target employee.

This is the kind of situation we deal with everyday, and it’s not getting any better.  People with guns should simply be threatening those who don’t have them so we could all lead peaceful lives.

The names of both men were hidden to protect the fact that Sampson Rowling couldn’t come up with decent ones.
